Latest Don V Fridays podcast was informative. Shoutout to Josh Jackson!

Josh Jackson gives a good interview. He's studying for a PHD in psychology and he wants to be a life coach or sports psychologist.

JJ said that new plays were practiced at Tech each week but they were not run in the games. UMD would put in new plays each week and they would actually run them during games. Corn would mainly run the base plays during games.

JJ was wondering why he was the 3rd down back when talented running backs like Travon McMillian were on the roster. JJ thought he had to run too often and the RB's were underutilized. JJ said that he would pick Cam Phillips as his go-to receiver on 3rd down.

JJ decided to leave when he was told that he would have to compete with Ryan Willis for the starting job. He did mention that he was the best QB in the room and I might agree with him. JJ might have had the best knowledge of the QB position while the other QB's were faster and had better arm strength. The original QB battle between RW and JJ was decided in one week.

The only dirt that was dished was Jerod Evans getting kicked out of practice after taking a swing at Jonathan Galante. JJ thought he might be the starter after Jerod's incident at practice but Fuente told him that he was going to tell the media that Evans would be the starter. The odd thing about that is that Fuente briefly opened the door to the film room and told JJ the news in one sentence and then shut the door. There should have been a meeting to discuss the new starter and discuss the reasons for the decision.
